Principal
Mr. James L. Hayes has been principal of The Epiphany School for more than thirty years. A native New Yorker, educated in Catholic schools, Mr. Hayes has been a teacher and administrator for his entire professional career. He taught at St. Brendan's School before joining The Epiphany School. He has advanced degrees in both Education and Business Administration.
With the help of a dedicated faculty and support staff, Mr. Hayes has made The Epiphany School one of the premier Catholic schools in New York City. Together, they have developed a wonderfully nurturing environment in which students are encouraged to reach their highest potential, both personally and academically.
Vice-Principal - 22nd Street Campus
Mrs. Mary Jane Higgins, an Epiphany School graduate, began her career as a Kindergarten teacher at St. David's School. She has a Bachelor's degree in English from Holy Cross College, and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Hunter College. She has done postgraduate work at Teachers College and St. John's University. At Epiphany, she has taught 2nd Grade, 4th Grade, and 4th Grade Social Studies, and served most recently as Curriculum Coordinator. Mrs. Higgins's two children attend The Epiphany School.

Mrs. Kate D. McHugh, a proud graduate of The Epiphany School, has been Vice Principal since 2007 and has held multiple roles as science teacher, science lab coordinator, Dean of Students, and guidance counselor. In addition to her Bachelor's degree, she holds a Master's degree in Science Education and a Master's degree in Administration and Supervision. She is certified as a New York State Administrator and Supervisor.
