Mock Trial
Students in Grades 7 - 8 have the opportunity to test out their legal skills by participating in the annual Thurgood Marshall Junior Mock Trial Competition. Students are mentored by volunteer lawyers and take part in preparing and presenting a court case in trial format. Students take on the role of attorney (either for the defense or the prosecution), witnesses, law enforcement and defendant. Trial 'Teams" compete against students in other NYC schools.
