New Leadership Roles
08/09/2016The Epiphany School begins this new school year by implementing a President/Principal model for our administration, with Mr. James L. Hayes as President and Ms. Kate D. McHugh as Principal. This dual leadership structure provides shared authority and a division of responsibilities allowing for the President and the Principal to each focus on clearly defined goals to better serve our students, their families, and the Epiphany community.
Mr. James L. Hayes is the President of The Epiphany School. His responsibilities include financial management of the school, strategic planning, fundraising and monitoring the operations of The Epiphany School Foundation office. Mr. Hayes is an Ex-Officio Member of the Board of The Epiphany School Foundation.
Ms. Kate D. McHugh is the Principal of The Epiphany School. All administrators, faculty, and staff report to Ms. McHugh. She is responsible for ensuring that proper curriculum is provided for our students, planning for staff and faculty development, and the administration of day-to-day operations at the School. Ms. McHugh oversees all parent and student relations. Ms. McHugh is an Ex-Officio Member of the Board of The Epiphany School Foundation.
Ms. Mary Jane Higgins is the Vice Principal of The Epiphany School. Ms. Higgins is responsible for all activities involving students, parents, and faculty in the Lower School. Ms. Higgins oversees the implementation of the proper curriculum for students and the supervision of teachers in the Lower School.
Ms. Eileen McLoughlin is The Epiphany Early Childhood Center Administrator. Ms. McLoughlin is responsible for all activities involving the students, parents and faculty in the Early Childhood Center. Ms. McLoughlin oversees the implementation of the proper curriculum for students and the supervision of teachers in the Early Childhood Center.
All members of the school leadership team share in the responsibilities of providing a spiritual atmosphere and creating and maintaining a vibrant Catholic culture.
