Speech Contest Winners
03/13/2017Congratulations to all of our Speech Contest participants. One student from each homeroom from 5th – 8th grades competed in the annual speech contest on March 10th. Each student wrote a speech on “What does it mean to be a hero?” The winners from each class presented their speeches to the student body at the Upper School on Friday, March 10th. The contest was coordinated by Ms. LaGuardia, timekeeping was done by Ms. Barry, and Ms. Onofrio, Ms. Rennell, and Ms. Zannelli were the judges. The speeches were scored with points given for material organization, delivery and presentation, and overall effectiveness. We heard many inspiring speeches.
Our winners are:
- First Place: Amelia Male, 7th grade
- Second Place: Olivia Davir, 8th grade
- Third Place: Morgan Brooks, 7th grade
The winners will compete in the District Speech Bee later this month. The best of luck to them all.
