Theater at the Upper School

As our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders completed their drama units in ELA our Upper School students were treated to performances of Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun by the 8th graders, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream by the 7th graders, and scenes from The Diary of Anne Frank by our 6th graders.
Acting coaches from Rising City Arts partnered with our teachers Ms. Barry, Ms. Glover, and Ms. LaGuardia to guide students in these curriculum infused theater projects. Our students were responsible for all aspects of the productions and responded to the challenge with great success. Congratulations to all the participants.
