Epiphany Artists at Work

Our 4th graders have been studying Edgar Degas, an artist who is especially identified with the subject of dance. When Epiphany Art Teacher, Ms. Christina Sahr, was ready to teach the 4th grade about life drawing in charcoal she needed some models. Ms. Sahr found her models in the 4th grade, girls who are all studying dance. While their classmates sketched the models posed in different dance positions.

The 4th graders did their life sketching in charcoal and then chose their favorite sketch and layered the drawing with chalk pastels. The Epiphany Art Show, May 30th & 31st, will highlight all of the beautiful artwork our students have produced over the school year.
