Blessing of the Animals

09/15/2021

Saint Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals. Born in Italy in 1182, his devotion to his “brother and sister creatures” continues to be celebrated today. St. Francis’s feast day is October 4 (our celebration is the 2nd). We honor his legacy with “blessing of the animals” services and events. Bring your pets, all creatures are welcome, to the church plaza at Noon on October 2nd for a special blessing.
