Our 2nd Graders Write to NYC

During the Second Grade’s unit in National Disabilities Month, Ms. Cappolla and Ms. Crimmins taught the students about accessible parks. They studied parks that have accessible equipment and compared them to the parks they visit in NYC.

The Second Graders noticed that a lot of their local parks don’t have accessible equipment, so they wrote letters to NYC Parks and Recreation to make suggestions about ways to make NYC playgrounds more accessible.
