4th Grade Visits Ellis Island

03/30/2025

Our fourth graders recently visited Ellis Island for an unforgettable, hands-on experience exploring immigration history. Students toured the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration, exploring exhibits that showcased artifacts and stories from America’s past. Engaging in interactive activities, the students created their own inspection cards and participated in a mock inspection process, stepping into the shoes of immigrants arriving in America. They also took part in an interactive game that simulated the challenges newcomers faced in order to enter the country. This hands-on field trip brought history to life and deepened students’ understanding of the immigrant journey.
