Mary Kate Arcuri, Music Teacher: Mary Kate Arcuri attended The Epiphany School from Nursery through Eighth Grade. During the 2020-2021 academic school year, she was a Teacher’s Assistant for Kindergarten and taught Music and Art to Pre-K. For high school, she attended Marymount School of New York, and then attended Lafayette College, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Theater, and a minor in English. She is so excited to be back this year teaching Music!
Kylie Anrews, Teacher’s Assistant, K-1: Kylie Andrews was a substitute teacher at Epiphany for the 2020-2021 academic year where she had the opportunity to work with almost every grade. Kylie grew up in St. Petersburg, FL and attended Shorecrest Preparatory School where she tutored younger students after school. In 2019, Kylie completed her undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews. Kylie went on to earn her Masters Degree in Gender, Peace and Security from The London School of Economics in 2020. Having enjoyed her time as a substitute teacher, Kylie is thrilled to be back at Epiphany working with Mrs. Bettigole in Kindergarten.
Melissa Quiñones Martinez, Teacher’s Assistant, 3-2: Melissa Quiñones graduated from The University of Puerto Rico in June 2021 with a BA in French Language and Literature and a minor in Italian. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Foreign Language Education at New York University. Melissa previously worked as a Music Instructor at a fine art academy and is very excited to be joining the Epiphany community this school year.
Gretchen Grewe, Teacher’s Assistant, 4th Grade: Gretchen Grewe is from Denver, Colorado and attended Fordham University in the Bronx for her undergraduate degree, which she completed in May with a major in Sociology and a minor in Spanish. She enrolled in a 5-year plan, which allowed her to begin her Education studies while in her senior year. Gretchen is now completing her last year in Fordham’s Graduate School of Education to receive her Master’s degree in Childhood Education. She is thrilled to be joining the Epiphany community and looks forward to the new school year!
Sophia Pirozzi, Teacher’s Assistant, Toddler Twos: Sophia Pirozzi spent her childhood in her hometown of Rockville, Maryland, where her passion for quality education and access for all children was sparked through her involvement with disability work. Sophia continued her studies at Fordham University in the Bronx, New York, and graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature and a double minor in Sociology and Disability Studies to hone her interests. After completing an academic internship at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Sophia is thrilled to begin her career in education as an Assistant Teacher at the Epiphany School and continue to grow into her role with the support of the warm and welcoming Epiphany family!
Michael Hussein, Recess Coach, Upper School: Michael is very happy to be a part of the Epiphany School and is looking forward to getting to know all of the Upper School students.
People in new places:
Emily Crimmins, former Assistant in 2-2, has completed her Masters in Education and is now the Head Teacher in 2-1.
Kim-Lien Trotta, former Assistant in K-1, has completed her Masters in Education and is now the Head Teacher in K-2.
Cathy Caulfield is now the Head Teacher for the Toddler Twos.
Kathy Bettigole, former TT Teacher, is now teaching Kindergarten.
Eileen McLoughlin has moved from the Upper School and is now teaching 3rd Grade.
Kristin Reilly is now teaching 4th Grade.
Allison Peet, former TT Assistant, is now the Assistant Teacher in 2-1.
