Kindergarten goes to the Zoo

Our kindergarteners recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Central Park Zoo! They participated in the Habitat Adventures program, Home, Sweet Home! which explores how animals thrive in their natural habitats through guided inquiry. Highlights included:

• An up-close animal encounter
• A visit to various exhibits
• A culminating activity focused on what living things need

We were so excited that all the animals were happy to see us!  Sometimes it looked like they posed for pictures! The joy on their faces as they interacted with the animals was truly heartwarming. This trip not only enriched the students’ understanding of habitats but also fostered a love for nature and wildlife.
