The Play’s the Thing

Rising City Arts is once again  here at Epiphany. Teaching Artist Mr. Rozzell, aka Mr. J.,  from Rising City Arts is partnering with our ELA teachers Ms. Capuano and Ms. Edgerton to guide our students on curriculum infused theater projects.

Our 6th Grade is working on Romeo and Juliet, the 7th Grade is producing MacBeth, and our 8th Grade is acting out Julius Caesar .

Our students become actors while they learn the basics of approaching and conquering poetic text, character, classical period and plot. The students also do all the music, costumes and sets for the productions. This residency’s goal is performance so students will have the opportunity to shine and show their strengths through drama and poetry. 

• 6th Grade Performance of Romeo and Juliet: June 11th at 10:00am
• 7th Grade Performance of MacBeth: June 12th at 10:00am
• 8th Grade Performance of Julius Caesar: June 11th at 1:00pm

All performances will be in the Upper School Gym. Parents are invited to attend.
