02/01/2026The 8th Grade Science teacher, Victoria Casciano, explains the Roller Coaster Project.


Using the concepts discussed in our Force & Motion unit, the 8th grade class designed and built models of a workable roller coasters. The design needed to include at least one loop, one curve, and one hill. Each grouped presented and included an explanation of how inertia, forces, friction, speed, acceleration, Newton’s Laws, gravity, centripetal force and air resistance played an important part in their design.
