A Trip to Broadway

For our 8th graders, learning doesn’t stop in the classroom. ELA teacher Ms. Edgerton uses New York City as an extended learning space, and she recently took her students to see The Outsiders on Broadway. Since the novel is the first book in the 8th-grade curriculum, seeing the Tony Award–winning production was an unforgettable way to deepen their understanding of the story.
